Rochelle Rae.

Growing up in an artistic family, Rochelle has always been inspired by beauty and got her start as a painter. While modeling for a short time in college, she quickly realized what interested her artistically was behind the scenes. She began apprenticing with a makeup artist and fell in love with helping women feel confident in the way they look.

The desire to learn more about the craft took Rochelle to California to study at the prestigious Makeup Designory in Hollywood. She then returned home to Austin, Texas where she has worked as a Makeup Artist for over ten years. She has earned a reputation with photographers, models, wedding coordinators, celebrities and the media as an artist, skilled at creating a look that is timeless and naturally flattering.

For years, Rochelle was frustrated with the complicated techniques and heavy makeup she found on the market. She knew the active Austin lifestyle and hot, humid climate called for a more natural approach to cosmetics. Realizing the needs of her clients were not being met she started mixing products with moisturizers, sunscreens and anything to "lighten them up". Rochelle discovered lighter, oil free, natural products were not only healthier for your skin, but also looked better and lasted longer. This drove Rochelle to design her own line of high quality, healthy, long lasting cosmetics. After two years of research, design and careful attention to every detail, Rochelle introduced Rae Cosmetics, a mineral makeup line created to take the heat, like the women who wear it.
