Makeup Vanity Inspirations

The space in which you work should inspire and motivate you. For some it’s family pictures, others are motivated by quotes, while others are more efficient with organization. As makeup artists we have this connection with the space between our makeup chair and the mirror. There are different factors to consider when setting up your home vanity. When it comes to organization they fall into two categories: display or store. Drawers are your best friends when it comes to storage and drawer dividers help prevent clutter. Vanity trays and hanging up accessories display your items as a form of art and help fill blank wall space. You must also consider lighting, natural daylight is what I consider “honest lighting” because you can see every nook and cranny. It allows you to catch uneven lines, and over pigmented shades before you walk out the door. Therefore, I would suggest arranging your getting ready station by a window, if this is not an option you can always consider Halogen lighting which is very close to the look of natural daylight.
