CRUELTY FREE
Rae is a cruelty free company, Leaping Bunny approved and PETA-certified, verifying that we do not conduct, commission, or pay for any tests on animals for ingredients, formulations, or finished products anywhere in the world. We also pledge not to do so in the future.
Rochelle’s very own bunny Evan Rae is the much-loved ambassador for the Rae Cosmetics brand. When not running around the Rae home, you might find him hanging out in the studio people watching, greeting guests, posing for photos or maybe on the set of his own photo shoot. Rochelle adopted Evan from the House Rabbit Resource Network, which Rae is a huge supporter. You can adopt too at rabbitresource.org
RAE GIVES
In 2015, Rochelle and her partner Thomas joined Turk and Christy Pipkin, the founders of the Nobelity Project, on a trip to Kenya, Africa. The Nobility Project is an organization that partners with communities to bring education to all (including girls!!) by providing classrooms, clean water, health support and student scholarships to those in need.
Rochelle and Thomas funded the completion of the Songoloi primary school, located 2 hours west of Nairobi. The new school replaced the one room shack that was falling down, could not hold enough children and did it have the recourses for the ones it could. The project also brought in a water purification system. The children or teachers were walking a mile and a half each way to get any sort of usable water.
They also helped plant trees at Songoloi to replace the vast number the villagers cut down, needed to build homes and burn for cooking, heating and purifying water.
In 2018, Rochelle and Thomas returned to Africa with a “Rae Team” of friends and family. They revisited Songoloi for the ribbon cutting of the two additional school houses they funded, more tree planting, visiting with the friends they had made two years before and celebrating with the new.
In the past twelve years the Nobelity Project has planted more than 500,000 trees and helped with almost 40 school projects.
Plans are being made for a Rae Team to return in late 2019 – 2020 for another project with the Nobelity Project. We will keep you updated. Learn more at www.nobelity.org.
